Thanksgiving Songs for Children

Thanksgiving Things
(Sung to Farmer in the Dell)

The turkey in the pen, the turkey in the pen,
All the children come and see the turkey in the pen.
The pilgrims on the boat, the pilgrims on the boat,
All the children come and see the pilgrims on the boat.
The Indians in the field, the Indians in the field,
All the children come and see the Indians in the field.
The pumpkins in the patch, the pumpkins in the patch,
All the children come and see, the pumpkins in the patch.
The corn on the cob, the corn on the cob,
All the children come and see, the corn on the cob.
The butter in the churn, the butter in the churn,
All the children come and see, the butter in the churn.

Aren't you excited for Thanksgiving? I love it! Cute song - thanks for sharing it! And you MUST read the Twilight books...I'm sure you'll love them! Let me know what you think when you're done!

I love all the songs you bring up! I remember singing them when I was young, but have forgotten most of them!

This is wonderful thanks!!

I'm sure we won't be able to get this out of our heads come Friday morning.

BTW, the tropy our daughter holds in that photo on my blog post a couple days ago? She was the youngest child ever, at 5, to enter a song she wrote in the local contest. So her dad and I gifted her with said trophy to commemorate the event. Figured it couldn't hurt to do so.
