What musical instrument am I?

Answer for last week's musical instrument:I am a percussion instrument called a vibraslap. You use me by holding the handle with one hand, and with the other hand hitting the ball against your palm. When you hit me you will hear a rattling sound. Click below to hear an example of what I sound like!

Well my first guess would be a saxophone but that would be entirely too easy wouldn't it? :)

Alto clarinet. I think it's a little too skinny for a bass. ;)

I was going to say it looked a bit like a Clarinet. That is the extent of my knowledge.
The slap thingy is so neat! I have never seen that before.

I would say bass clarinet, but they look a little different than they did in the l970's when I was in band.

Thanks for revealing the instrument. I can't wait to hear the answer to this weeks mystery clarinet/saxophone/something else mix.

Okay, that's one I haven't seen before. It has the mouthpiece of a clarinet/saxophone, but the middle part looks like a bassoon.

The vibraslap sounds like my old wind-up alarm clock. I playd the clarinet, and I'm thinking it's a contrabass. Not sure though.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'll be a regular here from now on. I've been teaching my daughter piano lessons, so I'll be going through some of your old posts.
