I am afraid my answer will show my ignorance when it comes to music and instruments!!! But I will give it a try. Is it used for tuning an instrument???
You'll have to put me in the ignorant boat too. This device reminds me of my grandpa's shoe forms!!! I bet the wood pieces make a pleasant clack though. looking forward to the answers...
That's a vibraslap. It's a percussion instrument, part of "color" percussion instruments. It's most often found in the bottom of a middle school band percussion box and dug out in the middle of rehearsal to drive the teacher up the ever-lovin' wall. Not that that has ever happened to me. Bwahahahahaha!!!! :)
I've seen these before and would assume you use it for keeping a beet or something. Seriously - I have no real idea! Do you mind if I put you on my sidebar? You have such a great blog here! Email me at candmalley@juno.com
I am a mom, a music lover, and a music educator. I write music lessons, musical reviews, and post fun musical activities and crafts to help moms teach their children to love and appreciate music.
