Promoting Music Education
I am afraid my answer will show my ignorance when it comes to music and instruments!!! But I will give it a try. Is it used for tuning an instrument???
You'll have to put me in the ignorant boat too. This device reminds me of my grandpa's shoe forms!!! I bet the wood pieces make a pleasant clack though.looking forward to the answers...
That's an instrument? I thought it was a new fangled metronome or whatever they are called. Just remember......me=musical moron.
That's a vibraslap. It's a percussion instrument, part of "color" percussion instruments. It's most often found in the bottom of a middle school band percussion box and dug out in the middle of rehearsal to drive the teacher up the ever-lovin' wall. Not that that has ever happened to me. Bwahahahahaha!!!! :)
I have no idea. But I can't wait to find out. Great site!
I'll go with laughingatchaos's answer. She sounds like she knows what she's talking about. And she's funny! ha!

Doesn't it make kind of a rattlesnake sound? We never had one in my middle school band.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Congrats on your half. I am looking forward to a half his winter as well/
I have no idea. Looks like some kind of percussion instrument.
vibraslap, percussion "toy" usually brings a smile to my face when used, I don't know why, I just think it sounds silly :-)
I've seen these before and would assume you use it for keeping a beet or something. Seriously - I have no real idea! Do you mind if I put you on my sidebar? You have such a great blog here! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
